Terms of use
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Who provides the app
QuickBooks Timesheet Sync for Jira & Tempo ("the app") is provided by Crosstown Tech, a software studio operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada. These terms govern your use of the app. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
2. What the app does
The app reads worklogs from Jira Cloud (and, if you enable it, Tempo) and writes them to your QuickBooks Online company as time activities. It does not create invoices, does not write to Jira, and does not sync anything other than time.
3. Requirements
Jira Cloud, and a QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced subscription (the plans that include time tracking). You need administrator rights in both to set the app up. Tempo features require a Tempo subscription and an API token you supply.
4. Your responsibilities
- The mappings you configure — which Jira user is which QuickBooks employee, which Jira project bills to which customer — decide where hours land. Review them before turning syncing on.
- You are responsible for what you invoice. The app moves time; the accounting judgement stays yours.
- Keep your QuickBooks connection and Tempo token confidential to your organisation.
5. Early access
The app is currently free during early access. Pricing will be announced before any paid plan begins, with advance notice to existing installations. Early access means features may change and availability is not guaranteed.
6. Availability and support
The app depends on the Jira, Tempo and Intuit APIs, and on scheduled processing. It is offered without an uptime commitment during early access. Support is through the Crosstown Tech support portal, normally answered within two business days.
7. Warranties and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crosstown Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost revenue, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
The app is not an accounting, tax or legal service, and its output is not accounting advice. Verify your books before invoicing or filing.
8. Data
Data handling is described in the privacy and security policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by disconnecting QuickBooks in the app and uninstalling it from your Jira site. Crosstown Tech may suspend an installation that abuses the service or breaches these terms, or discontinue the app with reasonable notice.
10. Trademarks
QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Jira and Atlassian are trademarks of Atlassian Pty Ltd. Tempo is a trademark of Tempo Software. This app is built by Crosstown Tech and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit, Atlassian or Tempo.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
12. Changes
These terms may be updated; material changes will be noted by the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, communicated to installed customers.
