Terms of use
Last updated: 26 September 2026
1. Who provides the app
Mentoring Programs ("the app") is provided by Crosstown Tech, a sole proprietorship based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By adding the app to Microsoft Teams, or by using it as a program owner or participant, you agree to these terms.
2. What the app does
The app helps a program owner run a mentoring program in a Teams team: it collects sign-ups, suggests pairs, and sends intros, check-ins and reminders through a Teams bot. It does not write to calendars and cannot read chats.
3. Plans
The free plan runs one active program per organization with up to 25 participants. If paid plans are introduced, you will be told before any charge applies, and nothing is charged without your explicit agreement.
4. Your responsibilities
- Program owners are responsible for who they invite and for how they use what the app shows them about participants.
- Use the app in line with your organization's policies and applicable law, including any notice your organization must give its people.
- Do not use the app to collect information participants haven't chosen to give, and do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other organizations' data.
5. Suggestions are suggestions
Suggested pairs and pair statuses ("Quiet", "Stalled") are computed from sign-up answers, check-ins and meeting dates. They are prompts for a person to decide, not judgments about anyone. Review pairs before launching them.
6. Availability and support
No uptime is guaranteed. Support is best-effort by email at support@crosstowntech.com.
7. Warranties and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crosstown Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Data
What the app collects, who sees it, where it is stored and how it is deleted is described on the privacy & security page, which forms part of these terms. Your data remains yours.
9. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by removing it from your team; participants can leave at any time by saying "Delete me" to the bot. We may suspend use that threatens the service or breaches these terms. On termination, the deletion process on the privacy page applies.
10. Trademarks
Microsoft and Microsoft Teams are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Mentoring Programs is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft; the names are used only to say where the app runs.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email to program owners before they take effect.
